Make a choice that makes a difference
Early Childhood Special Education is a growing profession in which qualified teachers are needed and highly valued.
Our Master's in Early Childhood Special Education prepares teachers to educate diverse groups of young children. This program will prepare our students to teach across a variety of program settings including home, center-based programs, inclusive preschools and public school classes and programs.
Our program offers two options:

M.S. Ed. in Early Childhood General/Special Education: 46-credit program that allows students who are not currently certified teachers to enter the Master’s program and graduate with recommendations for New York State certification in two areas—one in Special Education (Birth to Grade 2) and a second in General Education (Birth to Grade 2).
Key Benefits of the program Include:
- Extensive fieldwork opportunities
- Emphasis on technology and assistive technology learning tools
- Flexible evening and weekend course schedule
