Musical Adventures for Children:
Sound Safari
Ages 3-6
Embark on a “Sound Safari” and explore music through playful, animal-themed art, movement and literature activities. Early childhood and preschoolers will explore creativity, improvisation, and social play. The day starts with a “Safari” themed book and students then will have a daily music and art class incorporating the day’s theme adding an artistic touch, with drawing, painting, and collage, all while developing musical skills and sparking imagination. It’s a fun-filled adventure blending music, art and books!

Movie Music Unleashed:
Calling All Musicians
Ages 10-18
Open to students with at least one year of instrumental or vocal experience.
Take a journey through the unforgettable world of movie soundtracks with Movie Music Unleashed. This session invites you to perform thrilling action scores, sweeping adventure themes, and magical melodies from beloved films. Students will explore how music enhances storytelling and work together in ensembles to bring cinematic moments to life. The program concludes with a showcase of favorite movie themes, creating a musical adventure through the magic of cinema!
Great Beginnings Piano
Ages 5-11
Start your piano journey with Great Beginnings! Designed for beginners, this program introduces the basics of piano through engaging games, creative activities, and interactive lessons. Students will learn rhythm, melody, and foundational skills in a supportive and fun environment.
Strings Around the World
Ages 8-18
Designed for musicians with at least one year of string instrument experience, this program celebrates the rich folk traditions of cultures across the globe with traditional melodies, rhythms, and techniques. Through collaborative ensemble work, they will explore the stories behind the music and connect with its cultural roots and conclude with a performance, showcasing the beauty of folk traditions.

Rock Band Video Music Craze
Ages 10-18
Turn up the volume and get ready to rock. You’ll join a band, learn to play a variety of songs, and let your talent take center stage. In Session 1, students will end with an epic jam session, and in Session 2, the summer students will star in and make their very own music video. They will experience the excitement of a professional production, performing their song on camera with a storyline, creative shots, and the thrill of seeing their performance come to life on screen. Whether performing “live” or rocking out on screen, it is all about having fun, and making music.

Academy
Audition Required
Ages 10-18
This audition-only session is open to advanced high school and middle school singers and instrumentalists, expanding upon the model of the Conservatory’s Honors Academy. In “Summer Academy”, students receive classes in music theory, ear-training, composition, chamber music or ensemble vocal scenes, and performance practice. The session culminates in a final concert.
Private Lessons
For All Ages
Bronxville / Stamford
June 23 - August 1
For individuals of all ages and abilities. Lessons in all instruments and voice, plus music and art therapy. First-time students are required to interview with the Executive Director for teacher recommendation and schedule.
Policy Information
Concordia Conservatory welcomes students of all ages, abilities, race, nationalities and ethnic origins.
Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of $150 is due at the time of registration.
Payment
Summer program tuition is due by June 1, 2023. Private Lesson tuition is due at the time of registration.
Withdrawals & Refunds
Tuition is fully refunded if a student withdrawals before the first date of the session. All withdrawal requests must be made in writing to the Conservatory Director. Verbal requests cannot be accepted.
Rolling Registration
Registration will be accepted throughout the summer on a space-available basis only and pro-rated.
Credit Card Charges
Concordia Conservatory offers payment by credit card (Amex, Visa, MasterCard and Discover). All cash payments must be made directly to the Executive Director or Director.
Return Check Fee
There is a $25 fee for returned checks.
Photos & Video
Conservatory students (or their parents/guardians, if student is under 18) grant permission to Concordia Conservatory to use photographs and/or video of the students in publications, news releases, online, and in other communications related to the mission of the Conservatory. If you wish to opt out of this practice, please communicate that in writing to Marilou Yacoub at myacoub@concordiaconservatory.org.
