Music-on-Parade for Scholarship

Concordia Conservatory hosted an annual event, Music-on-Parade for Scholarship, to raise funds for its scholarship and outreach program through student and faculty involvement and participation. The event took place on March 7 in the Sommer Center Schultz Chapel at Concordia College.

ABOUT THE PARADE

“Playing time” by faculty and students run throughout the event and participants gathered sponsors for their “playing time.”

The Music-on-Parade ensures scholarship funding to students with promising musical talent, with an inability to afford instruction. In addition, the Conservatory offers tuition-free outreach at Project Music Achievement at Rosedale in the Bronx, The Andrus Early Learning Center, and free outreach enrichment to area elementary, middle and high schools in the lower Westchester communities with “challenged” budgets for the arts. The scholarship fund awards over 300 need-based and merit-based scholarships per year and its outreach programs reaches 2,000 students annually.
