The Art of Protest to open Season Two of Concerts at the OSilas

We are proud to embark upon our second season of Concerts at the OSilas, Concordia Conservatory’s concert series featuring our accomplished music faculty. This season’s three exciting and highly contrasting musical programs are inspired by exhibitions in the OSilas Gallery and will include programs of early music, avant-garde songs, and thrillingly virtuosic world music.

Our opening concert, The Art of Protest, will take place on Sunday, November 5 at 3:00. Performers Hubert Chen, Annette Espada, Marija Ilić, and Mark Katasounis will present works by Renaissance and Baroque composers of the Lutheran Tradition. The program is inspired by the gallery’s current exhibition, Martin Luther and the Reformation, celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation and the invention of the printing press.

We invite you to engage all your senses, walk, listen, sit, think, meditate! This afternoon of art and music is sure to stir your emotions, surprise you, inspire you, and enrich you.  – Marija Ilić, Artistic Director
