A Beautiful Evening at the Hoch Series Opener

A Beautiful Evening at the Hoch Series Opener

It was a glorious evening of music and community at Concordia Saturday, October 21. Violist Lawrence Dutton and cellist Paul Watkins of the Emerson String Quartet, along with violinist Elizabeth-Lim Dutton and pianist Jon Klibonoff opened the Conservatory’s 16th Annual Hoch Chamber Music Series with a concert entitled A Night of Reformation. The program featured works by J. S. Bach and Antonin Dvořák, and was played with superb mastery and artistry.

Guests enjoyed pre-concert coctails and a relaxing stroll through the College's OSilas Gallery, where the wonderful exhibit Martin Luther & The Reformation is on display, and Children and their families got creative in the Kids Intermission Party & Art Activity. It was a wonderful night for all!

The concert in the series will prove no less exciting; Broadway star Norm Lewis and jazz/gospel vocalist Ruth Naomi Floyd headline the annual Gala Concert on February 3, 2018. Tickets can be purchased here
