In keeping with Concordia College's 2018-19 theme of Borders and Boundaries, the concert will explore the boundaries of chamber music in the 20th century through Schoenberg's Verklarte Nacht, Op. 4 and the String Sextet from Capriccio Op. 85 by Richard Strauss, who moved from Germany to Vienna in an attempt to save his Jewish daughter-in-law and grandchildren from the Holocaust.
