This fall, Concordia Conservatory is pleased to introduce several new offerings to its youth and adult students to expand their musical exploration.
Concordia College New York courses for college credit will be offered at the Conservatory starting fall 2019. Course offerings include:
Drums of the Middle East
Thursdays, 7:30 – 8:30pm; Semester 1 only; with Yousif Sheronick
The Evolution of Jazz & Rock in America
Wednesdays, 7:30 – 8:30pm; Semesters 1 & 2; with Lee Metcalf
Composition and Songwriting Lab
Tuesdays, 7 – 9pm; Semesters 1 & 2; with Matt Van Brink
The Cabaret Book Club will bring together adult musical theater fans in an ensemble designed for singers of all skill levels. Musical repertoire will explore the books of popular American Musicals as well as scene study, monologues, solos, duets and ensemble works. Participants will read a book with a music theme each semester. Come unwind and develop your inner (or outer) thespian. The Cabaret Club will meet on Mondays from 7:30 to 8:45pm and will culminate in a cocktail party performance at the end of each semester.
