Baking with the Classic "Melodies of Naples" was enjoyed by a sold out crowd on Friday, May 4 at the home of the Gleason family in Bronxville. The intimate piano concert paired music with a taste of Italy’s rich culinary dessert heritage.
Conservatory piano faculty and department head Jacob De Hoyos performed Francis Poulenc’s Napoli: Suite pour le piano capturing the essence of Naples, its history, and its connection to the legendary Mount Vesuvius.
In keeping with the series' theme, the performance was accompanied by desserts inspired by Poulenc’s Napoli: Suite pour le piano featuring the iconic Neapolitan pastry sfogliatelle. It was truly a delicious afternoon!
