Dr. Joanna Maulbeck
Associate Professor of Teacher Education
Dr. Maulbeck joined Concordia College in 2015. Prior to arriving at Concordia, she served as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Rutgers University, while teaching at The College of New Jersey and City College. Dr. Maulbeck’s work examines immigrant student lives in early childhood settings, issues pertaining to ethics and inequality in education, and international comparative education. She has spent time teaching, mentoring, and coaching Pre-K through Grade 12 students in the United States, Mali, and South Africa. She has designed various international experiences for students, as well as literacy and youth empowerment programs within communities. Dr. Maulbeck is thankful for all of these experiences and recognizes that each one has led her here. She looks forward to relying on them to better serve her students, college, and community.
